THIS EVENT IS 100% FREE!

Fox Valley Aero Club proudly announces our 13th annual Wings & Wheels Festival of Flight Air & Car Show. The event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday September 8th. Flying will continue throughout the day until dusk. We invite all AMA registered pilots to join us for a great day of flying at the fabulous Fox Valley Aero Club flying field located at 3821 Karl Madsen Drive, St. Charles, Illinois.

To encourage spectator attendance the Fox Valley Aero Club and The Midwest Chapter of the Model T Ford Club will be celebrating 100 years of automotive and aviation history. There will be many examples of both Antique Cars and Radio Controlled Model Airplanes. This will be a real opportunity for families to visit and view 100 years of aviation and automotive history all in one place on one day. There will be over 20 Model-T era Cars as well as over 100 RC Model Airplanes.

The field is located near the intersection of Route 38 and Peck Road. We feature paved (50' x 800') and grass (100' x 850') runways, an unobstructed flight pattern, large pit area, six flight stations, and a pavilion with nine battery charging stations. Primitive camping is available on site. This is a fun-fly event open to all types and sizes of radio controlled aircraft. AMA registered pilots can fly for FREE! No pilot landing fee. Just register upon arrival with your 2018 AMA card.

Spectators will see an early dawn patrol of World War I biplanes, a squadron of World War II fighters and a variety of stunt planes filling the sky with smoke trails. There will be exhibition flights with special aircraft, along with a noon time air show. The noon time air show will also feature a dog fight between Snoopy and the Red Barron as well as some of the Model-T cars. There is a spectator entrance fee of $5 per adult, and children ages 12 and younger are free. Seating is available, but spectators can bring their own chairs if desired. Concessions will be available.
