Fox Valley Aero Club proudly announces our 12th annual Festival of Flight fun fly, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 9th. Flying will continue throughout the day until dusk, followed by a Night Fly starting at 9 p.m. We invite all AMA registered pilots to join us for a great day (and night!) of flying at the fabulous Fox Valley Aero Club flying field located at 3821 Karl Madsen Drive, St. Charles, Illinois. The field is is located near the intersection of Route 38 and Peck Road.
We feature both paved (50' x 800') and grass (100' x 850') runways, an unobstructed flight pattern, large pit area, six flight stations, and a pavilion with nine battery charging stations. Primative camping is available on site.
This is a fun-fly event open to all types and sizes of radio controlled aircraft. AMA registered pilots can fly for FREE! No pilot landing fee. Just register upon arrival with your 2017 AMA card.
Spectators will see an early dawn patrol of World War I biplanes, a squadron of World War II fighters and a variety of stunt planes filling the sky with smoke trails. There will be exhibition flights with special aircraft, along with a noon time air show.
There is a spectator entrance fee of $5 per adult, and children ages 12 and younger are free. Seating is available, but spectators can bring their own chairs if desired. Concessions will be available.
Information is available at the Fox Valley Aero Club’s website,www.foxvalleyaero.com.
