Welcome to the 11th annual West Texas Warbirds! 


This event features radio controlled scale models of military aircraft in action. Aircraft from practically every era of military aviation conflict will be represented. Spectators are welcome Saturday, August 24th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Best viewing time is at the Noon-Time Line Up where spectators will have an opportunity to walk the flight line and pit area to view the planes up close and talk to pilots. Be sure to vote in the People's Choice Award.  General admission is $5.00 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.  Concessions available on site. Bring your camera, lawn chairs and sunscreen. 


**Please Note: This is a fair weather event! Aircraft may be grounded due to excessive winds or inclement weather**


DIRECTIONS: From Lubbock, go North on I-27 to Abernathy, take EXIT #21. Turn RIGHT onto FM 2060 and proceed East approximately 4.0 miles to the Abernathy Municipal airport and follow the signs to admission and parking
