Fox Valley Aero Club to Celebrate National Model Aviation Day, August 11^th

In celebration of the 5^th National Model Aviation Day, Fox Valley Aero Club is having their 5^th Annual Cub Day and Nite-Fly on August 11^th. The event features a 50 x 800 blacktop runway with a parallel well manicured grass runway that is 100 x 850.

Starting at 9am there will be the Piper Cub fly-in that will include all types and sizes of Piper Cubs, some as large as one-half scale. The night fly will follow the Cub Fly-In.

The goal this year is to have more than 50 RC Cubs in all sizes. No Cub is too small or too big. There will be 1/2 scale, 1/3 scale and 1/4 scale Cubs as well as micro Cubs”.

Fox Valley Aero Club is celebrating Cub Day with special events all Day Long. There will be unique Cub Fun Fly events, Special Awards, and a noon time Air Show that includes the “Circle of Death”, and the “Carousel of Cubs.” There is a $10 dollar landing fee that includes Pizza lunch.

All money from the landing fees will be donated to the AMA Scholarship Fund.
