Premier Scale Model Fun Fly is a GO!! - 12th Annual

  1. You can register at the event. Please bring cash or check as we cannot take credit cards at the field (no cell phone reception).
  2. Many of you have noticed we did have a small fire in the area. It did not threaten the field, it is "put out", all roads are open, and the Fire Chief has given us the green-light.

If you love scale modeling, this is the not-to-miss event in So CA! 3 days of fun in sunny So CAL at a beautiful flying field, the OCMA (flyocma.com) Blackstarr field in Irvine CA. free camping available on-site, Early Sat Morning Free Flight Rubber Powered Mass-Launch contest, a fun Saturday night banquet with awards and prizes (UPDATE! ALL BANQUET PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE SEMPER FI FUND! , and, a fund-raising give-away full of great donated prizes.

Attention Pilots - Just Added - Want to reserve premium pit space? Now you can for a fee. See entry section for pit reservation options. There's free 1st come 1st serve basis pit areas, reserved pit areas on the paved area that include a picnic table, and longer pit spaces on the east grass area that include a space for your trailer or car. (NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO PIT OUT OF YOUR CAR OR TRAILER, PLEASE RESERVE A LONGER PIT SPACE ON THE EAST GRASS AREA Pit No's 13-28).

    There is free camping on-site (no hookups), about 200 yards from the flying field. Be sure to register for camping when you sign up. There are no hotels near the site, Typical hotels such as this Howard Johnsons is about 10 miles away. 1930 E Katella Ave, Orange, CA 92867

    Pilots - A note about Pits.

    1. Each registered pilot must supply a fire extinguisher. There must be a fire extinguisher in each pit area.
    2. There will be NO PARKING of trailers behind the pits except in the "outer" reserved pit areas. All other cars and trailers will need to be parked in designated car and trailer parking areas. IF YOU NEED TO PIT OUT OF YOUR TRAILER, PLEASE RESERVE AN "OUTER" PIT AREA.
    3. IF YOU MISS "PRE-REGISTRATION" YOU CAN REGISTER AT THE EVENT, HOWEVER, ALL "RESERVED" PITS MAY BE TAKEN AND T-SHIRTS AND BANQUET TICKETS MAY BE SOLD OUT

    Camping (no hookups) is free to pilots and their "crew". On-Site camping is not available to non-participants. Camping area is adjacent to the flying field and not near the runway. From a practical standpoint, you cannot pit from your camp site. NO TENTS, Enclosed mobile campers/RV's/Camper-trailers only.

    This Pit Space is a reserved space to the West of the Announcer's Booth (Center Stage) and split into two groups. 1-12 is on the normal paved pit area and comes with a picnic table. Space is 10 x 10. Pilots using these spaces must park their car in the remote parking but will be able to drive up to the pit to load and unload only. 13-28 is on the grass and is longer. Parking behind these "outer" pits is A-OK
