Come out and join us for the first annual Jets Over the Upstate jet rally held by Firetower Flyers in Piedmont, SC. There is a 600 ft smooth grass runway with open departure and approach. Bathrooms available (no showers), electricity on the flight line, covered picnic area, no fee camping welcome though no RV hook ups are available. Barbecue dinner, awards and bonfire Saturday night included with landing fee, guest dinner tickets available for 8.00. Lunch plates will be available Thursday and Friday for purchase. Event is March 16 and 17 however pilots are welcome to stay Sunday to fly as well but it will be a normal open flying day.

We have a nice field but want everyone to be aware that while we do have good airspace there are a row of houses 1000 feet in front of flight stands that we have to avoid, takeoff and approach is open as far as you want. There are seven turbine guys at our field and it is not a problem but we want to let everyone know up front. Plan to limit a max of 4 airborne jets at one time to help make maintain a relaxed and fun event.

Since this is our first jet rally and considering the facility size we wish to limit this event to 35 pilots.
