Welcome to ALES at SVSS.   Along with our TD and Cross Country events, we are the premier flying site for ALES on the west coast. Our season goes from March through November with 10 ALES events including our Summer Soaring Challenge.   We have an atmosphere that is welcome to newcomers and challenging for many of the top pilots in the country.

The Friday of the Soaring Challenge begins with an afternoon of ALES.  We'll start later in the day to allow pilots from all over the West to join us in this event.  In addition to the Friday ALES, there is also an ALES class on Saturday and Sunday as well.   The weekend flying is in an open format, not man-on-man, so only Friday's event is elegible for the ALES League.

On Friday our Pilots’ Meeting will tentatively be at 11:30 and first flights at noon.  AMA membership is required.  No lunch scheduled at this time.
